Montjuïc Cable Car
The recently refurbished Montjuïc Cable Car is a different way to travel to the top of Montjuïc Hill where you’ll be able to enjoy unbeatable views of the port and city.
This cable car system has recently been renovated and starts near the bottom of Montjuïc, the most well-known and historically significant hill in the city. Monjuic is covered with parks, monuments and sites of interest to visitors, including the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, and the most important stadium from the 1992 Olympic Games. The cable car doesn’t just save your energy for exploring the top notch sites in this area, but is also a scenic and highly memorable experience – make sure not to forget your camera!
Each car holds eight people and offers a 360 degree panoramic view on the ascent towards the very top of Montjuïc. On a clear day you’ll be able to see for miles over the whole city and the Mountains that surround it. Once you get off it’s just a short walk to the top of Montjuïc with is magnificently preserved 18th-century castle. This is a very popular attraction, but for those with a fear of heights it is best avoided.
